Common questions
How fast can my pet be picked up?
Pickup is arranged by phone at a time that works for you. Same-day or next-day pickup is often possible in Lethbridge. Rural pickups may take a little longer to schedule.
Will I get my own pet's ashes back?
Yes, if you choose private cremation. Your pet is cremated alone, and the ashes are returned to you, usually in a simple urn or keepsake box. With communal cremation, ashes are not returned.
My pet died at home. What should I do first?
Wrap your pet in a blanket or towel, place them on a waterproof sheet in the coolest room of the house, and call us. Our guide What to do when your pet dies at home walks through the first 24 hours.
Can my vet clinic arrange this instead?
Yes. Many clinics in Lethbridge offer cremation. You can also choose your own crematorium and have your pet picked up from the clinic. Just tell your vet you've made arrangements.
Do you handle horses and large animals?
Yes. Horse and large-animal cremation is arranged across southern Alberta. See horse cremation costs in Alberta.
